Bvlgari is back with the new Serpenteyes collection. The snake motif – an emblem of seduction, rebirth and transformation – has been an element intertwined for decades with the history of Bvlgari, and now takes new shapes, thanks to a reinterpretation with a modern twist.
Unlike other Bvlgari Eyewear collections – which draw inspiration from jewelry – Serpenteyes takes inspiration from Bulgari’s leather goods, and particularly from Serpentage – a technique introduced by the brand for the bags collection.
Enameled snake scales are the distinguishing feature of the BV6104 style, together with openwork metal temples and flat lenses in purple, grey or brown gradient orange lenses, as well as best seller pink gold mirror.
The snake scales motif is laser-engraved on the metal bar applied to the lenses of the BV6103 style, which is characterized by the hexagonal rimless shape of the lenses.
A game of transparencies is the characterizing element of the BV8203 sun style, which combines flat gradient lenses with an irregular oversize frame. The refined color palette includes pink, brown-orange or grey frames and lilac, fuchsia or blue scale patterns.
Last but not least, the iconic BV6089 style is back with flat round lenses and metal bars with laser-engraved snake scales. The same motif is executed on lenses as well through pad printing, and it is available in purple or gold tones.
The last three styles mentioned above are the ones that the brand ambassador Bella Hadid wears in the new Spring/Summer 2018 campaign, set on elegant terraces and roofs in Rome.
The evolution of the Bvlgari Eyewear collection continues. Serpenteyes is the perfect interpretation of the Serpenti theme for contemporary women who are sensitive to changing fashion trends and willing to fully express their identity, through combinations of styles and materials.
